Simply a Moment

I always read.....but don't usually join in with.....Alexa's monthly meme 'Simply a Moment'.....today I couldn't resist.
"I got up and walked into the kitchen.....intending to make a cup of tea and some yogurt and fresh fruit to take back to bed with a magazine.....I was all alone today as OH has gone to a motorbike exhibition in London and DD1 is at work.....as I walked through the door the light hit me......briefly I thought it might be a mirage.....a bright, blue, sunny sky.....and for the first time in weeks not a drop of rain in sight.....just a beautiful Springlike day.I momentarily thought of getting dressed and going outside to do some gardening.....but our garden is like a bog.....wellington boots compulsory....the heavy clay soil so wet that you could make pots out of it.....perhaps I could start a new career as a potter!
So instead I took my breakfast.....and snuggled back in bed with my quilting magazine.....but I made sure I opened the curtains to let the sun stream in."
If you live in the rain deluged UK I'm sure you can appreciate this moment!!!!
And the storm damaged fences being held up by posts until the weather allows them to be properly repaired!!

What a lovely, sunny, happy moment to be able to share! Hope you have enjoyed your peaceful solo time today and basked in the sunshine. I smiled at your fence, for ours is propped up in a very similar manner! Delighted to see you in the Linky and thank you so very much for joining in :).

Ah yes, I can completely identify with this Jacky and indeed my own moment is very similar!

Oh yes, how welcome that sunshine was today!

Our gray skies are bringing snow rather than rain, but yes, when the skies are blue, it's cause for celebration!

I love this Jacky! A really perfect description of this moment... Our weather in Ireland has been pretty miserable of late too, lots of rain and storms, so when we had blue skies yesterday for the first time in weeks, it was like magic! I can totally identify with this :) Thank you for sharing x

Yes, I enjoyed the sunshine today too! We replaced three fence panels and have two more held up, just like yours! Loved reading your moment :)

One of the good things about rain, and the aftermath, is how clear and fresh everything seems after!

Glad you had such fabulous weather. Sunday was glorious here and we went for a walk on the beach.

It's so good to hear that you are safe and warm and dry. We've been watching the news here in complete shock. It's heartbreaking..

What a lovely moment to record - I always enjoy catching a glimpse of blue skies and sunshine! We've had several days of beautiful weather here and I've tried to get out a little each day!

I can definitely relate even tho' I'm not in the UK! (USA). I trust you are continuing to "dry out" and think climbing back in bed with a quilting mag is one of the best ways to pamper oneself, whatever the weather.

Cheers~

I would have chosen the same option ~ back to bed with the curtains open!

While not having to deal with the weeks on end of rain that ya'll have, I can relate to the joy of seeing a bright, blue sky. We are being teased by spring this week and I am savoring every moment.
