Our trip started with Tunis.....which, of course, isn't in Europe at all.....though everywhere else was.......I took these 2 photos as we sailed into the port [and the sun] very early in the morning......you actually can't see anything at all of Tunis......but I rather like the effect....and am quite pleased with them.
Tunis itself wasn't the most wonderful place I've ever been.....but we had a fascinating visit to a carpet 'shop' that had been a palace in a former life......and took some interesting photos on the roof......Tunis definately looked better from above!
and the carpets were exquisite!
The next instalment comes tomorrow....just shout once you get bored!!!!
And I nearly forgot.......what a very small world it is........found out today that we were followed round the Med by Kate of Liberty Cottage......we saw her ship in most of the ports we were in......if only we'd known.......could have met up in some exotic location for an [expensive] cup of coffee!!!!!!!!!!

Jacky I like these shots a lot! The carpets and the tiles looks so exotic but I can imagine that things are pretty grotty at ground level!
Such a pity you and Kate didn't realise that you were so close - that would have been a lot of fun to catch up.
What a great eye you have! Love the carpets up top especially.

lovely photos Jacky! Love the details u have captured! Abi xx
Oh Jacky, you have no idea how exciting it is to me to 'revisit' these locations through your photos :-) You're tempting me to go through my own pics for comparison - I might do a blog post of memories at some point! Those tiles and carpets are as vibrant as I remember them xx
These photos are great! As soon as I saw the first one I could feel the heat :) Don't worry, you won't bore me with your holiday trip - I want to hear all about it.
I love travel photos, and yours are great! The carpets look yummy. You will never bore me with photos.
Fabulous photo's Jacky, love the way you've captured them.

No way I'll be bored by a recap of your trip---just a bit of jealousy perhaps! Love the photo of the carpets hanging from the railing.
Wow wow and triple wow, love looking at these- like Sian said, you can feel the heat - keep 'em coming :-)
Well, if Tunis was a disappointment, your photo's certainly aren't!!! I've been to Tunis & I think you have shown it in a very favourable light!!! The colours & textures you have captured are just lovely!
