In my garden

A late, chilly Spring has meant that everything has been a bit behind in my garden this year.......but in the last 3 weeks its all finally sprung into life
 the first poppy flower
 the geums in full flower
 forget-me-nots and nigella everywhere
the rockery is at its best [and lots of little plants need planting out]

the roses are very late this year....only the yellow one flowering
the lettuce leaves are being eaten daily
and as is so often the case in England.....it either rains buckets....or doesn't rain at all.....so now the ground is rock solid......and all my little plants are just going to have to wait patiently in their pots!

Lovely pix and garden, Jacky and thank you so much for the fab birthday card that was lying in wait for me upon our return home yesterday

I can see manyu of the same plants in my small bit of garden as well as pots I have on what I call the patio. My garden is basically three borders around a parking space but it is full to bursting with cottage garden plants my landlady planted plus some of mine too. I love it

The mix of a bit of rain then a bit of sun has been good for our garden and I see a lot of plants in yours that we have here too. Our poppies are behind yours though, ours are still at the 'buds ready to burst open' stage!
Isn't it lovely to see colour back in the garden? Makes all that hard work worthwhile!

Your plot of cared-for land looks so lush and full, so you've done wonders despite the cold Spring. Up here, we've have a few geums but the daffs are still out!

When I retire I shall garden. Then I can have a yard that looks as pretty as yours!

I always love seeing photos of your beautiful garden, Jacky! Our Arizona soil gets hard as a rock with no water - lots of clay in it. I have been remiss in my garden this spring, but my sunflowers are opening and you know how I love that!

It looks lovely! We don't have anything blooming, but we did re-do the front landscaping & the new bushes look great. Well, actually the tomato plants are blooming & we'll be picking a few of the first ones soon! :)

It's so lovely! I'm always surprised (but I shouldn't be) by how far ahead your garden is. Ours are just beginning to flower.

You have such a beautiful garden Jacky. I love to see the poppies come out and pass a mass them, by the surgery, on my walk into town.
