Today......in my garden

My garden is definately a June garden......though there are a few plants yet to reach their prime.......and a few that are now past it......so much is at it's best at the moment.
the sweet peas need picking every day now
 the grasses are looking lush
this clematis took a few years to really get going.....but now clambers happily over a rather boring conifer
the lavender are just coming into flower
the buddleia are reaching for the sky
the hydrangea heads are appearing
and roses are everywhere

and the edible garden is coming on as well
mixed lettuce leaves being picked every day
the apple trees are covered in little fruit
the blueberries large and swollen....but probably need another month to be ripe
and the British rain has migrated......so a lot of vegetable watering is happening each day....the flowers have to fend for themselves!

All beautiful jacky. Our lavender and roses have really bloomed and we have a rapidly growing passion flower! I would love to have fruit in our garden too. How lovely come late summer to have blueberries and apples!

All that hard work is worth it when you see everything coming to life. Looks like you have a lovely, colourful garden to enjoy in the sunshine!

It looks absolutely glorious! One of my gardening ambitions is to grow enough sweet pea to be able to pick them every day :)

That is a LOT of beautiful garden Jacky! I don't have the patience to do all the tending required. You have quite the green thumb!

I love the blue nigella peeking through the pink roses. I used to have it, but have no idea what happened to it. Your apples look like they are just about ripe. I'd love to stroll through your garden!

Oh what a beautiful, beautiful garden. Your roses are stunning, ours have finished they first flush, so I'm waiting for the next. My sweet peas haven't done anything yet

You have such a beautiful garden Jacky. I miss our old established village garden. There's so much builder's rubble under the topsoil here, nothing grows very well. I love sweet peas and they remind me of my Uncle who always grew a wonderful array of them.

Just gorgeous! I'm just beginning to see some flowers in my perennial bed. The very severe winter killed off nearly half my plants. We've replaced them, but it will be a while before we see the fruits of our labor!

So pretty, Jacky - every bit of it! I think my next gardening venture needs to be figuring out how to grow a proper rose! We just haven't had good luck with them in the house we're living in now. Loved having a peek at your garden! xo

Beautiful garden and Sweetpeas are one of my favourite flowers but it also made me happy to see the cornflower peeping round the rose - another flower that I love as it was the first one I grew from seed as a child.

Your sweet pea photo is my favourite - I felt as if I was peeping through a jungle :). Your garden is thriving - I will be interested to know how the blueberries progress too.
