Catching Cadiz

Shimelle's 4th video in 'Return to the Collection' was making a double page layout.....but not the usual double page......this is one scrapped page.....and a co-ordinating divided page protector.....I really like this idea.....especially in a vacation album......as I have so many photos to scrap.....and have found in the past that I can get bored with making the album before I've finished.
I put together a variety of photos taken in Cadiz.....there were a lot of interesting buildings and monuments there.....and some journaling about our day.....this will be my final page on Cadiz.....I'm going to put any more photos in page protectors.Shimelle always adds lots of embellishments [I have less then her]....and balances the page by where she puts them......I'm trying to do that far more than I used to....not as successfully as her though.
She also puts quite a lot of embellishments in the page protector.......again I've got less.....but wanted it to be fairly quick to put together.
We were surprised at how much cheaper mainland Spain was than 2 years ago.....a sign of their recession, I suppose.I was also impressed by the lycra clad policemen on bikes.....somehow I can't imagine that that is going to catch on over here!!
The 2 pages will sit together in the album.

Wow, these blues are just wonderful. The light in Cádiz is glorious, isn't it? Your pages all work together so nicely. You are making me want to jump on a plane

Now there's a spread to bring a bit of sunshine into any living room! I think the combination of the traditional page and the photo page looks brilliant. Very inviting

Ah, some blue skies and sunny pages. Just the tonic we need on (yet another) rainy day.

These are lovely pages Jacky. They look so bright and cheerful, what a contrast to these dull grey days we are having. It looks like you are really getting lots from this class and using it to good effect.

In one of my largest travel albums I used lots of divided page protectors to house all the extra photos.. It was in the days before Project Life, and I wonder if I revisited some of them if I could add some embellishments. Your pages are so colorful. The light on the city in your second page (first photo) is just wonderful. What a gorgeous place!
