I'm using 'hello Monday' to keep a check on how I'm doing with my 'school's out for summer list' - it might help keep me on track.
1. try out a new recipe each week
Chicken in mango sauce here
2. read a book a week
Read Patricia Cornwell -'Blowfly'- I'm really enjoying this crime series.
I've also spent a lot of time in the pages of this book......and have started a project from
it.........love the fun and quirky designs.
3. in the garden
some rain this weekend meant I could finally get some of my little plants into the
garden and some weeds out of it!!
4. make christmas cards
a few more made this week
6. make scrapbook pages
2 made this week
7. sew conservatory cushion
it's starting to come together.......need to get out the sewing machine now.
8. completed
10. completed
11. completed
14. make display board for mail art
completed......more on this in blog post later in week
15. one visit to the beach this week.
and we had our first BBQ of the year.....just shows how c**p the weather has been this summer!!!
Hello to a new week.

Happy Monday to you Jacky. Love these catch up posts and seeing your knitting book has reminded me that I like to knit and may be tempted to get out my needles.
Yes, that list is really coming along - liked the sound of the recipe too. Look forward to your "quirky" knits then!
Happy Monday

I really like the look of that knitting book (and the pinboard..)
Around the dinner table tonight we were just pondering how hot it would get this summer, you see, we've had a cold wet winter and we are wondering if that equates to a hotter summer or a colder summer .... who would know?!
Glad you got the chance to get out and BBQ at least once!
Oh, how sad that this was the first barbecue :/ You have done such a good job getting things checked off this summer.
I'm hoping to do a bit more in the garden this week myself.

Oh, your book looks really tempting ... I must NOT acquire any more hobbies, though! Hoping you have a productive week.
I am sitting here with a crochet hook and a ball of wool, love the look of that book though. Must be a sign that autumn is coming lol. Well done on getting lots completed.
We have only had one BBQ this summer too! You are doing really well with your list - good luck on completing it :-)
Loving the cushion & pinboard...looking forward to seeing the finished items! :D
Thank you for visiting my blog. The photograph that stood out for me was your great beach image. Andy

Like the look of your cushion..glad you got into the garden for a bit!
