Countdown to Christmas 5- Journal Your Christmas first page

I'm not particularly following the prompts on JYC this year....though I'm reading them and getting inspiration from them.
I want to mainly record 'our family' happenings......rather than more general 'christmasy' things.....though one or two of them will undoubtedly sneak in.....and I don't want a page every day either.
But this does mean that my journal has started before December.
Every year [for the last 20 odd years!!] we get together with a group of friends for a pre-christmas meal.......usually at the end of November......before the manic season starts.....not everybody can make it each year....so the participants vary....and some come quite a long distance.
It's a time for catching up, gossiping, photo sharing,laughing......and generally having a good time.....and it is truly the start of our christmas.
I want to add some sort of numbering.......but not quite sure what yet........dates perhaps ......suggestions gratefully received.

Lovely layout from you Jacky and sounds like your Christmas starts off well ..... if you're not wanting to journal every day - how about the TWELVE days of your Christmas?

Happy Monday

I really love this idea of a pre-silly season get together, it's the sort of thing I'd love!
I'm not numbering this year at all, it's liberating .. so is the not feeling you have to have a page a day - right there with you!

Hmmmm, that last bit didn't work out so well ... what I mean is, I am not numbering my pages or making a page a day!

Great start to your album Jacky and what a fun topic! Maybe just a small date stamp if you have one, just to record the date but not making a huge statement? Look forward to seeing your album progress! x

Great layout. I have some journaling done, but have been so busy since we returned that I haven't gotten any page design pulled together. I'm numbering, but not worrying if there's a page for every day.

...and she's off! A great place to start - I love that I can remember back to last year's outing and the year before. We are getting to know each other's traditions! It's a lovely first page

Such a pretty layout and tradition! The only number thought I have is if there is some number that relates to each layout...ie for this one 23 (or whatever the real# is for years of gathering) or just 20+, on a layout of a plate of cookies a number for the ingredients used but only if the number thing is something you especially like having.

What a lovely tradition to kick off the holiday season with old friends. :o) As for the numbering, I've not a clue, but I'm sure you'll come up with something awesome!

Wonderful layout Jacky and I think it's great to include it in your album. I like what Amy had to say. I'm not following the prompts much, just trying to focus on little bits and when there is more to say, well then I will say it!
