Going digi?????

One of Shimelle's prompts was all about using digital elements on your projects.......now digital scrapbooking is beyond me......much as I admire others' digital pages........and I love playing with paper too much.......but printing and using digi stuff is something I do......especially in cardmaking.
I have an enormous file on the computer full of digi downloads....a few of them have been purchased.....but mainly they're freebies......and there's some great free stuff out there....including some wonderful kits which are meant for digital scrapbooking.......though for me they're meant for printing out and making cards with!!!!
What I really love about them is that........unlike 'real' supplies.......they can be resized......and printed on a variety of paper or card.......so can be modified for any sized/type of project.
This was one of the first digi cards I made.....everything except the Tilda was from a seaside kit [sorry I can't remember where it came from].....and I hope my colouring's improved a bit since then!!!
This one has just been made.......and apart from the LOTV image.....everything is from a  free winter kit from Summertime Designs.......who's blog is full of wonderful free kits. She has a 'fall' one at the moment.
If you haven't used digi elements yet.......take a look out there......you'll find some that are just perfect for you.

I've always known I could use my digi kits as printable elements, but I really haven't tried it! Maybe I need to expand my use of digi!

You can really do this Jacky! I have been tempted many many times - my sticking point is getting the card to go through the printer!

Two gorgeous cards, you can't beat digi papers besides the ink it takes on some of the deeper colours lol.

I've thought of printing the digi papers but haven't quite got there yet. After seeing your cards though I think I should give it a try. Do you just print on plain white card? xx

These are wonderful!! I've only printed on PP with digital stamps... I've never tried printing the elements in color... I love how it looks!!! Fabulous!!

Rhona....this one was printed on white card....but if I want a more vintagey feel then I print on 'off white' or cream. Occasionally I print things on coloured card or decorative papers.

Love that second card! I'm going to use the digi prompt to get some clipart for my next batch of element ATC's. Thanks for reminding me!

That second card is gorgeous! Those papers are just beautiful. I have too much digi stuff and hardly use any of it except photo templates. I should sort through it all and start using it more effectively.

They really are fantastic Jacky - I'm not brave enough to enter the digi-world but I can see the many benefits it offers....maybe one day - in the meantime, keep inspiring me :) xxx

I agree Jacky, I can't give up paper & adhesive! I've collected some nice free digi supplies, too, and enjoy using them occasionally. I have started creating a layout every now & then digitally, but I'm hoping today to spend some good quality time at my craft table with a trimmer & some pretty paper. Lovely cards!

Love what you've done here - I often feel that when I try to use digital elements, even printed, it doesn't fit my usual 'style'; your style just shines through though :)

Having caught up on your recent posts I'm pleased that your computer troubles are now solved, and it's been lovely to watch your album grown through Shimelle's class! Hasn't it been inspiring? :)
