Using just 3 colours on a scrapbook page

Shimelle's 8th prompt is to pick 2 colours and 1 neutral to scrap with.......so 2 more pages for my holiday album.
Because the photos have a lot of green and grey in them......I decided to use green and yellow as my 2 colours.....and grey as the neutral.......this turned out to be easier said than done.......as I soon discovered just how few yellows I have!!
I took a lot of photos of Cheddar Gorge.......and as the album is not that large......11 x 8.5......I printed them out smaller to fit a few on the 2 pages.
The titles were just about 'squeezed' out of a pack of old....and well used....stickers.
Although I like how the pages turned out......I'm not sure about the grey......I think perhaps it's a bit dark......and might go for a slightly lighter shade if I did this again. What do you think?
And thanks for yesterday's sympathy for DD1......she's fine.....just feeling rather sorry for herself.......and in need of TV and painkillers.......not to mention the vampire novels......she bought a set of 5 last week....and has now read 3 of them!!

Now that's a great challenge to which you have more than stepped up! Actually I like the darker grey because of the stronger contrast it provides with the yellows and greens. :)

My sentiments exactly Alexa! I think this colour palette is lovely Jacky - of course, I do understand what something looks like IRL may not be the same as on the screen, from this perspective it's great!

Good news about the tooth extraction! What about the shopping? :-)

I think the grey works really well because it picks up the colours in the photographs.

FAB layouts and I think the grey works just great with all that rock too!

Glad to hear your daughter has been consoling herself with vampire novels!!!

Happy Thursday, is it raining with you? Chucking it down here!

That yellow with those photos makes a stunning combination - I think this is gorgeous!

(anything subliminal about the yellow and the cheddar? lol! I like it)

I absolutely love the colours in this layout, grey and yellow just go together so well. And I agree with Sian, very appropriate to use cheese coloured papers for a trip to Cheddar ;-)

I think the grey works beautifully with the lighter and brighter green and yellow, Jacky :) And hooray for squeezing titles from alpha stickers!! I've been doing a bit of that myself - who knew that a 'z' could become an 's' with a bit of judicious trimming?!

The orange and gray are fabulous together, and like Alexa, I like the darker contrast.

Yellow was the perfect colour choice. It goes so well against the natural colours in the photographs.

I think this colour palette works very well Jacky. Lovely photos, brought back memories of childhood visits to Cheddar. They always had the best strawberries.
