There's still lots of layering here.......but a sort of 'flat' layering.....which I think will still count for the 'layers' challenge at Totally Papercrafts!! Lots of patterned papers....though all from the same 'Love Letters' pad......and no plains in sight....apart from the stamped image.....which I think might have looked a bit odd on patterned paper.
I was a bit surprised that I actually like the effect......and it's a lot quicker to complete......so I'll be coming back to this,I think.
Am off on a jaunt today....with MIL and SIL......to The Old Loom Mill......a wharehouse full of wool and fabrics.....maybe a visit to The Range.......to see their crafty stuff......and lunch out.....which DD1 did not want to hear about.....as her treat for today is having a wisdom tooth out!!

The pp layering works really well on a card and suits your style Jacky, I can see you using this technique again too.
Enjoy your day, it sounds lovely .. and good luck to DD1, I remember the day my wisdom teeth came out all too well!
That is a real beauty Jacky!

What a fab card it is too - I know you usually use gorgeous layers of plain but you have certainly cracked patterned too, matey!
Happy Wednesday

I think the patterned paper worked really well on this card, I really like it! Hope you have a lovely day out and that DD1's day isn't too bad either. xx
Oh I think this came out just lovely! Have a fun day and hope your daughter's day goes well too (ouch!)x
This is great; the patterned paper works so well in these layers. Have a great day, and good luck to your daughter. The dentist is NOT one of my favorite places to visit!
Using patterned paper, to me, is a bit like choosing fabrics in quilting. As long as you have lights, mediums, and darks in your fabric color selections it usually looks good. I don't know if you did chose those patterned papers on purpose or by instinct but the card looks great.
Really pretty and the patterned papers look great against the calm background surrounding the figure. Admiring your willingness to jump in and go beyond your comfort zone!
Love the card, the patterned papers go well together. Hope you had a lovely day!
The PPs work really well Jacky..hope you've had a great day out..and that DD is OK!

And I hope all went well with your daughter, I remember all too well the experience of having 2 of my wisdom teeth out :(
Lovely card - I like how you were able to include so many layers and they all add a little something to the card.
