OH and myself.....spent a morning in Ramsgate.....on the way to visit a friend.......we looked round the market.....stopped for a coffee.....and then down to the harbour and seafront
We wanted to go in the Maritime Museum.......but it was closed........though it should have been open.
We wanted to go on the tug......but it was closed.......though it should have been open.
We walked a bit further......and were about to start wandering back......when we came upon something amazing......a large seafront building project......surrounded by hundreds of feet of hoardings.....turned into a vast outdoor art gallery.......called 'A Wall of Art'There were about 100 large paintings......all related to Ramsgate in some way........here's just a very few of them.
Just 10 of them....wish I could show them all.....if you're in Kent......go take a look.....or if not......take a look here.

These are fab, Jacky...great idea to have a 'Wall of Art'....it would really cheer up the 'front' here in Whitley Bay!

Amazing art Jacky. Love the second one of the plump lady in her swimsuit - I had a feeling I was looking in a mirror!
What a lovely surprise to find such amazing art work used in this way x
wow, love that wall of art. Thanks for sharing.
Looks like you had a good time despite everything being closed (went to Pompeii to take in history once and ..... you guessed it, closed!!!!)
Happy Wednesday

You have put me in the mood for a visit to the seaside now :) With your great glimpse of somewhere I've never been
How fabulous.
A wall of art beats a wall of graffiti anytime!
Wow! That wall of art is AMAZING. I looked at the photos a few times! Love your list of 10 on the 10th, Jacky. Your photos are lovely. xo
Fabulous, it is always good to come across something unexpectedly.
What a neat surprise! Glad you got to enjoy it and glad you got to share it. :)
I'm coming down to Kent next month for a few weeks...we'll have a look. I feel a bit like the swimming cos' lady at the moment!

Oh I think a visit will certainly be on the cards for me now :)
those are awesome!!!
What a great wall of art - I love the old seaside postcard style, so typically British!
How lucky to have happened on that! So cool!
What a wonderful discovery - thanks for sharing about it.
Shame things were closed but the art looks fabulous.
Happy crafting

These are just stunning - what a find! And thank-you for posting so many of them for those of us too far away to visit!
That is such an excellent idea - thanks for sharing them Jacky, I've loved this burst of colour this afternoon!
Jacky, What a wonderful gift to stumble upon. I love the colors and just the fact that the wall was not left bare. Very cool ten things list :)
This is amazing and I imagine that the photos don't really do the wall of art justice. So happy you shared some of it!
How could I not have seen these? Next time I visit Ramsgate I'll have to take a look.
If I'd known you were coming this way I could have given you the book in person.
Great photos Jacky, love the last one!

I started chuckling to myself when everything was closed that you wanted to see, but sometimes the unexpected can be extra special and it sounds like this Wall of Art was just that! Lovely photos, Jacky.
I especially like the red boat with houses along the sea front.
So cool. Reminds me bit of the beach shacks we saw.

Hi Jacky...
Oh Wow...Thanks for posting these up...I would love to see all 100!
Surely seeing all that free Art makes up for the others closures...
They are great! Sorry I haven't been to visit in a while - just having a catch up now :)
