10 Things on the 10th - a Wall of Art

This is my post for Shimelle's monthly link up......10 Things on the 10th.....see more here.
OH and myself.....spent a morning in Ramsgate.....on the way to visit a friend.......we looked round the market.....stopped for a coffee.....and then down to the harbour and seafront

We wanted to go in the Maritime Museum.......but it was closed........though it should have been open.
We wanted to go on the tug......but it was closed.......though it should have been open.
We walked a bit further......and were about to start wandering back......when we came upon something amazing......a large seafront building project......surrounded by hundreds of feet of hoardings.....turned into a vast outdoor art gallery.......called 'A Wall of Art'
There were about 100 large paintings......all related to Ramsgate in some way........here's just a very few of them.

Just 10 of them....wish I could show them all.....if you're in Kent......go take a look.....or if not......take a look here.

These are fab, Jacky...great idea to have a 'Wall of Art'....it would really cheer up the 'front' here in Whitley Bay!

Amazing art Jacky. Love the second one of the plump lady in her swimsuit - I had a feeling I was looking in a mirror!

A wall of art beats a wall of graffiti anytime!

What a great wall of art - I love the old seaside postcard style, so typically British!

Jacky, What a wonderful gift to stumble upon. I love the colors and just the fact that the wall was not left bare. Very cool ten things list :)

This is amazing and I imagine that the photos don't really do the wall of art justice. So happy you shared some of it!

How could I not have seen these? Next time I visit Ramsgate I'll have to take a look.

If I'd known you were coming this way I could have given you the book in person.

I started chuckling to myself when everything was closed that you wanted to see, but sometimes the unexpected can be extra special and it sounds like this Wall of Art was just that! Lovely photos, Jacky.
I especially like the red boat with houses along the sea front.

Hi Jacky...
Oh Wow...Thanks for posting these up...I would love to see all 100!
Surely seeing all that free Art makes up for the others closures...
