A trip to London....to meet a friend.....from across the pond.

We arrived back from a week's holiday yesterday [more on that another day]......today I should have been washing.....and ironing......and shopping......and clearing up......but I wasn't......I was in London.....meeting a friend for the first time......she was in the UK from California for just one week......so I just couldn't miss the chance to get together with Rinda......who writes one of my favourite blogs......and produces such wonderful art.

We met at 10.15 at Charing Cross station.......and wandered down to the South Bank for a breakfast of pancakes, blueberries,bacon and maple syrup......not a breakfast I'd usually have.....but definately delicious. We chatted for over an hour while we ate......and then wandered along the South Bank taking in all the sights........and hustle and bustle.....as we chatted more....on our way to The Globe Theatre where Rinda and Paul had a booking to see a play at 1.00.......they were meant to meet at 12.30......but it was 12.50 by the time we got there.....and I think he might have been getting worried!!

A truly enjoyable morning.......spent with such a delightful lady......I hope we can do it again sometime [maybe in California next time!!]

And last week saw me meeting up with another of my blogging friends as well.....but that's for another post.
