And this boot full was just what they bought in Bristol......they assure me every item was a bargain......and somehow they managed to get it all home!!!
And we all consoled ourselves with a cocktail.......or two.......maybe even three!!!!!
And considering what the weather was like.......the irony of this poster in a shop window.....wasn't lost on us!!!!
You'll be relieved to hear we did take part in some rather more healthy pursuits......and even occasionally managed to stay dry while doing them......more of that in a future instalment.

Looks like you all made the best of it that's for sure :)
Getting away no matter what the weather is always good Jacky and you all look like you have more than enough fun lol.
Love the cocktail glasses!

Oh so funny Jacky!!! My goodness, you should be proud of the girls, that's what I call shopping and I'm glad you managed to partake of a cocktail or three, that's what holidays are all about, wet or dry. Hugs, Chris x
If shopping were an Olympic sport your girls would be gold medal contenders! Glad you were able to make the best of the weather.
How fun to go drinking with your kids! Did Brian get the laundry done for you? I'm working away on ours today.

Holidays and cocktails go together don't they? Regardless of the weather if you ask me!
Lovely photos of enjoying the ligquid refreshment - even if the liquid outside wasn't fun! What a lot of bargains. West country, here I come. :)
Ah those goldfish bowls!! They look way more interesting blog size (rather than cell phone size!)
It was so fun to meet up with you and Gill. I'm so sorry the weather was pants for you all!
Looks liek you survived though!

It looks like a wonderful time! :) I had to giggle at the "boot" of the car. When my Auntie's would visit here from Scotland they loved their shopping...trouble was they had to bring it all home on the airplane. The UPS man became their friend in shipping their treasures back - at a hefty price! ;)
That would make a great "flag" picture for Rinda too. Tho I know you already have an inspired one of those.
I'd say a couple of those cocktails and the weather wouldn't have mattered one bit lol
That's my kind of holiday -- shopping. In addition to the shopping, it looks like you all had lots of fun.
Oh my, it is so dry (dangerously so) here in Texas that we are praying for rain and a relief from the high temperatures.
Sounds like you had a nice trip despite the rain - so glad to hear it.
