Altered butterfly frame

I bought a couple of budget frames in our local Store Twenty One.......and did a little bit of 'improving'......the frame was the sort of colour I wanted......but had a shiny finish........so had to put gesso on it and repaint cream.
I then added a little bit of olive green round the edges.........some green on the edges of some wooden flowers.......a gem in the centre of them........and a few green gems added to parts of the frame.
A tin heart I had in my stash was also tinged with green.......and then hung over the frame.
And finally....... one of my favourite photos of Little A when she was tiny was put inside.....and now it's perfect to go in our bedroom.

What a clever idea - I have some metallic frames for scrapbooking that I can't work out how to use, so you have given me some great ideas!
