I thought that over the course of this week I'd share the making of it with you.......this is not a tutorial.......or step-by-step guide......most of the techniques I've learned in classes or picked up when blog hopping......so that wouldn't be fair.......but you might be interested in seeing how the canvas builds up.......well, hopefully you will!!!
I started with a plain [cheap] 8 x 6 canvas, a pot of Mod Podge and a brush.........oh......and nearly forgot the newspaper to protect the dining room table!!
The canvas was covered with Mod Podge and then with papers to go with the theme..........some 'f'' dictionary pages........some map paper [friendships far and wide]........and some friends quote papers which are a free download from Hero Arts.
The Mod Podge was liberally applied under and over the papers.......it does make them crinkle up.....but I like the added texture that that gives it.
Now it needs leaving to dry......pop back tomorrow if you'd like to see it with a bit of added colour.

Jacky, this is a wonderful idea. And I think you are being far too modest - call it a tutorial: it looks as if it's going to be well illustrated, clearly written, and with a beautiful end product.
This looks suspiciously like a great tutorial to me! And I will definitely be popping back to see the next stage.

Love the tutorial Jackie and looking forward to the progress of this project. I have a pot of Modge Podge that has been in my cupboard for several years now so I may be tempted to hoick it out!
I don't know what I love more, the look of this canvas or the purpose behind it.
I just finished all the background for my first She Art piece and I LOVE it!!! Need to work on putting my girl on it today. I can't wait to see what your finished piece will look like. It's fabulous so far... xo

Looking great so far Jacky, I haven't tried mod podge yet... although I do own some. I brought it and then didn't know what to do with it! Can't wait to see more :)

Looks like a lot of fun. Been a while since I've had sticky fingers from Mod Podge. You might be surprised to find that once it's dried, the wrinkles will have smoothed out. At least that's what happened to me when I altered a composition note book using Mod Podge.
