Once the papers are dry.......and Mod Podge does dry very quickly......it's time to add some colour.
I decided to use acrylic paints and Dylusions sprays [produced by the amazingly talented Dyan....I think they are only available in the UK]. I love the intense, translucent colours of the sprays.....but the acrylics are great for adding texture.I went for blues, greens, yellows and browns. Some of the paint is thickened with paste and it was added with a variety of 'tools'.......including fingers!!
And the paint takes far longer than Mod Podge to dry......though you can speed up the progress with a heat tool!!
The next bit is great fun.....choosing all the different stamps to add texture and meaning.......I went with a variety of quotes......a few hearts......some flourishes.......and some birds.
But because it is a 'friends' canvas.......I also wanted some additional people.......I couldn't decide whether to make extra 'girls' or add stamped images to the background.......but finally decided to use stamps.....and keep to just one girl.
She'll be added tomorrow.......do pop back.
