Making a Friendship Canvas- Part 3- the girl

You can find Parts 1 + 2 here and here.
The girl is the hardest part of the canvas for me......I can't draw at all......and have always used downloaded paper dolls on my projects in the past......but I do love the individuality of them........even if mine do look quite childlike........and the fact that I can use up small pieces of patterned paper that might have gone to waste.
I really like this girl's dress.....made from an old 6 x 6 paper piece I'd had for ages.....and probably wouldn't have ever used for cardmaking or scrapbooking.
All the parts of the girl have been cut seperately and then fitted together on the canvas.......after some additional snipping!! Though I think her legs could have done with some extra snipping.......they're looking decidedly chubby!!
Her body is painted and shaded........some hair and shoes painted on.......and lots of rub ons added to the dress
 She's then outlined......and textured......and doodled on.......until she feels done!!
I hope you're enjoying seeing the canvas build up.......and if you pop back tomorrow.....you can see the last few touches needed to finish it all off.

I really am! How much of it did you do at one go? Is it something you keep coming back to or can you do a lot at once I'm wondering

Love, love, love her! The dress is so perfect. How did you make the green flowers round her neck and waste? Perfect painting and love the bits of red/orange.

I am really enjoying this step-by-step. What a great idea to use the downloaded paper dolls - I can't draw either so will have to keep this in mind!

Love it and I love seeing it develop Jacky. That is such a cool girlie and love how you've done her hair and the flower in it as well as the dress. You can always trust a woman with sensible sturdy legs - a definite asset I think! Can't wait until tomorrow. Hugs Cherry XXX

Beautiful Jacky! Absolutely beautiful ( I know this isn't the finale but she is gorgeous in these pics.) did you see Christy is offering an extended access, I think I'm going to take her up on it as I did not get a chance to see all the videos from week three, and seeing your girl is inspiring me to start another :)

Good to know I'm not alone in having blogger probs. I fiddled with a few settings and have been ok for an hour or so - is it fixed? I have NO idea!! NOW I can't access Craftbubble either but I'm not alone in that either!!! BUM! I HATE technology sometimes!

Love it Jackie, you're making it look so easy but I doubt that it is. The girl is perfect :-)
