It's cold out there

My home is cold in the mornings and evenings now......even when it's warm and sunny in the day......autumn is here with a vengeance.OH is going to sweep the chimney.....so that we can light a fire in the evenings.....I refuse to turn the heating on until we're into October......despite DD's whinging!!!!
But the weather does make xmas cards seem a little less inappropriate!!
LOTV would like a xmas card in 'untraditional' colours this week......wonder what they class as untraditional.......I like purple xmas cards.......but don't think of it as a traditional xmas colour......and as the Saturday Challenge want 'purple and silver'......and my new Cosmo Cricket pad has those colours......I'm going with that..........using the sketch at Create4Fun......and adding the snowflakes that One Stop Craft want.
The snowflakes were punched and then double heat embossed with purple and then silver.......and while the heat gun was out.........shrunk my favourite xmas sentiment 'I wish it could be christmas everyday'.........all finished off with silver and purple ribbon.
And aren't bloggers such lovely people.......I commented on Deb's blog that I had never tried tacos.......and today a little package arrived all the way from Arizona.......with a taco seasoning mix......thank you so much,Deb.

Gorgeous card Jacky - beautiful details and stunning colours and a beautiful image.

Hope you are feeling better. A good hit of chilli will help no end.

The season has certainly changed as you say in the mornings and evenings.

I was adamant that I wasn't going to put the heating on til October too but then felt bad cos the girls were bringing their blankets down to the couch! Switched it on last night!
Love your card!

Its just lovely. Am going to have a play with a christmas lotv tonight...I hope, so you have inspired me. Thought of you today when I was making homemade tomato soup! Things I learnt today....Don't wear a pink tee shirt when stirring the soup!!

We put ours on "for a couple of hours" on Sunday as we had a guest for dinner with circulation problems, forgot to turn it off again before goign to bed and woke up sweltering even with a window open. I'm sat here with a T-Shirt on now - must be warmer here Jacky!!!! Stay warm!

As you say, how lovely of your crafting buddy to send you taco seasoning - hope you enjoy them.

FAB card and, with that colour scheme (purple) you just KNOW I'm going to LOVE it!

Another lovely card!
My heating went on the other day and last night I found my daughter snuggled up in the armchair with her fleecy snowman blanket around her! It's definitely autumn now!

We have an extra blanket over the duvet - our only nod to the fact that it's feeling very wintry...CH will go on when my hands are too cold to carefully hold a scalpel! LOL

Lovely card Jacky, the little snowflakes & silver ribbon really make it 'pop' :)

How can the same stamped image make 2 totally different looks ... These cards are both beautiful and wonderful in their different colors.

Our heating's been on a little while now... And Deb is so lovely, isn't she? She did the same for me when I mentioned I'd never had a fortune cookie :-) Well - not exactly the same, in that she sent me fortune cookies rather than taco seasoning....

Love the card, my favourite colours may change now and then but I'll always have a soft spot for purple :-)
