A bit more traditional

Am now really getting into the xmas card making......though having to wear 3 layers of clothes indoors.....is beginning to dissolve my resolve on not turning the heating on!!!!
Back to more traditional colours today.....same image as yesterday.......but looks so different with these colours.......following the sketch at Friday Sketchers.
Very simple design........all Dovecraft papers......with a poinsetta added......the sentiment is from a lovely LOTV xmas set.
Fits with a few challenges....Charizma Cards and Incy Wincy both want 'anything'.......Winter Wonderland wants 'holly, red and green'........and Totally Gorjuss and Sew Many want 'xmas'.
I know I'm behind with my 'Learn Something New Everyday'......so a final catch up tomorrow as the month long class draws to a close.

And it's smashing Jacky - lovely image and papers. Sorry to hear about the multiple layer thing going on in your house - don't worry it'll soon be October and more acceptable to put the heating on!

Hi Jacky...
How lovely to see all your new purchases...and even more interesting is how they will look after you have altered them!!I last went to Ally Pally a few years ago now. Work and kids always get in the way of a good craft shopping day!
Anyway...I really am trying to be good so I can spend in May when we go to Florida...
Well done on the Xmas cards, they are really beautiful...I will have one to show tomorrow and I have the shopping girl stamp...It's a good mag that gives you a free stamp!

Its gorgeous and you would hardly realise its the same stamp as before. I am afraid I have turned my heating on, really warm during the day but freezing at night!!

This image looks so different colored in bright colors, and although I liked yesterday's version, I really prefer this more traditional one.

Yes, it really looks like a completely different card - it is amazing what colour can do! I am so impressed with your organisational skills - you are set for Christmas .... I've been thinking about having to be organised on the present front this year.

You're so right that it looks very different - more modern and less Victorian.

I so admire your forward planning, and your resilience about the central heating! We've been putting our fire on every day for the last ten days! Your card is lovely - that poinsetta just sets it off perfectly.
