Studio L3's Compendium of Curiosities Challenge this week is 'inking grunge' from Page 39 of Lord Tim's book.......I bought some grunge paper at the last craft show I went to.....and it's been on the shelf ever since......so time to play with it.......very carefully....considering what it cost!!
If you read my 'recycled bedroom' post.........you'll know my new bedroom needs some 'art' for the walls......so this is the first piece.
I found a chunky papier mache heart I've had for ages........painted with cream acrylic.......and distressed with Antique Linen and Shabby Shutters.............edged with lace.........photo torn and layered and distressed......flowers are grungepaper cut with Tim's Sizzix Tattered Florals......inked with Shabby Shutters, Old Olive,Worn Lipstick and Vintage Photo.....buttons to decorate [paler pink than photo suggests]....the hearts are grungepaper die cut and inked as well.
The first piece ready for the wall.
It also fits in with Cupcake Crafts 'distressing' challenge

Just catching up on the blogs I have missed over the last week! What a coincidence that we were in the same area, I wonder if I saw your cruise boat at any time (there were quite a few around!) Looks like you have seen some amazing sights, certainly plenty of photo opportunities!

Beautiful! After six loads of ironing I think I would be going for a lie down in a darkened room instead of making something lol.
Glad you had a fab holiday - the washing is always the down part - atleast you have all the memories to think on whilst ironing!
