Drizzle....or is it just rain?

The random word at Creative Boot Camp today is 'drizzle'.....now living in the UK........ to me this says 'rain'!!
So decided to have a play with my new Paperartsy stamps......and amongst my bits and pieces I found this
All ready for altering as a birthday present for a friend........so out came the stamps, paint, distress pads and more!!
And the end result is this

It's actually a bit more colourful in 'real life'........the greens and gold show up more.
It was painted with cream acrylic and distressed a bit with a green patina.......stamped with Paperartsy and Tim Holtz stamps with Memento and Distress Inks......and edged with a metallic gold rub on gunky stuff!!
I couldn't resist one bit of layering.....with the butterfly.
Lots of room for improvement.......but I'm quite pleased for a first attempt.

You should be pleased, it's fab :-) Drizzle said 'rain' to me, too - but it also said 'lemon drizzle cake'!!

Lovely! What a great quote stamp. I also really like the text butterflies - they add to the distressed feel.
