So todays random words were 'heavy metal'.....which immediately said 'rock music' to me.....and if I owned this Sugar Nellie stamp I'd probably have made a card......but sadly I don't....and he's probably too cute for a heavy metal band anyway.....more Bon Jovi-ish.
But even more sadly I don't have any photos to scrap of seeing Black Sabbath and Deep Purple live........back in the day when dinosaurs still ruled the earth.....and cameras probably hadn't been invented........but it brought back happy memories.....and reminded me that I was a teenager once.....sharing a sleeping bag in a muddy field!!
And this is for Amy....who posted yesterday about the way blog friends add a new layer to a 'multilayered' life......it really is true!!

Love the cartoon!
I was a Deep Purple fan too - Smoke on the Water - Brilliant! My tastes have certainly changed over the years, how could I have gone from Deep Purple to Wham?!
The cartoon is fab, very appropriate.
What a great post today Lizzie! I love the cartoon and your thoughts about what you could do with the heavy metal prompt. I actually have too many idea but hope to get at least one done this afternoon . . . those awesome rusty stars you sent me are definitely in the mix.

Ooooh - LOVE the cartoon! Makes me want to do a scrapbook page about how much I love my computer and my bloggy friends!
Fantastic Jacky! I thought of music first of all too but have come up with something else - yet to photograph it though - soon :-)
So glad you found this little cartoon, a friend in Australia emailed it to me after that post too - blog love!!! One more facet to make us interesting women I say :-)
I was never lucky enough to see deep purple but have seen many of their offshoots, but I did the Sab's numerous times and(like you) heavy metal would HAVE to have meant ROCK! Can't wait to see your day 4 project then . . . . .

Ah, back in the day, eh? But (as my mother always says) if you keep a thing long enough, it comes back round again..my son is now listening to my husbands Deep Purple albums. I'll have to tell him you're a fan :)
Just caught up on your last few posts, Jacky :-) Like you, I'm not responding to the journaling prompts and the boot camp as a whole isn't quite what I expected - not that I could define what I expected! - but I'm getting something from it. And I don't think it matters whether it's what boot camp's 'supposed' to do; if you get something - anything - from it, then I think it's working! (Love your multi-layered card, by the way xx)
Heavy metal concerts were always something to remember. Nice cartoon pictures. Very fun!
Well - if anything that heavy metal prompt has taken some of us back to our teenage years..I remember seeing Hawkwind at our local park -AND I wasn't a hippie/freak whatever they were called then !
