Escape from the Vets!!

Chester + Stella needed to go to the vets........Chester [who hates the vets and hides behind us shaking and whimpering] for his booster.....and Stella [who likes the vets, but gets overexcited] to have her razor sharp claws clipped.
We decided to take them together.....BIG mistake!!!!!!
OH took in Chester who was called straight into the surgery.........I got Stella from car and took her in........no Chester in sight.......she started screaming.....have you heard a Staffie scream.......it sounds like a small child being tortured [I imagine].......certainly enough to get the NSPCC knocking at your door.
She was called into the nurse.......still screaming.......had her claws clipped......still screaming.
Chester, meanwhile, had heard her and was desperately trying to claw his way out of the surgery to 'rescue' her.....the vet chasing him round with a needle.
I brought her out to the hall where OH and Chester were waiting whimpering......not quite sure which one was whimpering!!
They saw each other and tried to bolt across the floor.......the vet's floor is shiny linoleum......they looked like 2 cartoon dogs.......madly running.......but getting nowhere.
We paid our sizeable donation to the vet's pension plan and escaped as quickly as possible.
We will never take 2 dogs to the vets again!!!

Jackie, I've been in stitches reading this. I feel your pain. I have only occasionally taken all four of mine to the vet (you should see the gleam in the vet's eye!!! All that cash....!!!???). Looks like they're both recovered now though....awwww!!!

You are CRAZY people .... one is always more than enough at the vets if you ask me! If nothing else it psychologically eases the pain with only one bill at a time :-)

Sounds like you had fun Lol! They sound like a couple of characters. My two just want to play with all the other dogs when we go, and when you get looks from other owners and you keep them away then they bark like hell.
Happy crafting

Oh, they look so cute curled up together like that. Poor babies probably will both hate the mean old vet now. What a day they had!
