Taking Online Classes

The only online classes I've taken are Shimelle's ones......which I've loved........I've noticed a lot of bloggers take online classes....and have seen a few recommendations.
I want to start digi scrapping........and thought of taking a class.......but decided that first my photoshop skills needed improving.......it can take me hours to do anything!!!
I'd seen a few bloggers had taken Jessica Sprague classes.....so decided to sign up for one of her beginners photo-editing classes.
But then Sian sent me a link to a Scrapkits class.....'getting the most from your point and shoot camera'.......this sounded perfect for me......as I am a pretty poor photographer [just in case you hadn't noticed]!!!! So I signed up for that....it starts tomorrow.
And then last week Shimelle announced her new class 'something from almost nothing'..... which will be full of ideas for using up the stash you already have........this is more than perfect for me......so I just had to sign up.
Oh dear......the old saying "you wait an hour for a bus and then 3 come along at once" springs to mind!!!!
Now....... I actually have problems keeping up with just one class........so keeping up with three is going to be very interesting indeed!!!!!!!
I tried out a free Jessica Sprague class........making a quick page......this took me 2 hours...... I like the finished page........but quick!!!!!........you can see why I need a photoshop class!!!!!

This is great Jacky, i've recently got into digi scrapbooking myself. Like you, I am no photoshop profi however I have discovered some fantastic software "Serif Digital Scrapbook Artist 2" It's only 30 pounds and it's really amazing, it even has it's own photo editing package included. The best thing is it's so easy to use, sometimes I think i'm doing it wrong! I'd deffinately reccommend it. Good luck with your classes, they sound like lots of fun xx

The layout is fabulous Jacky! Good luck with all those classes! I'm contemplating two at once (art journal and shimelle) but worried that might be too much.

lol! I know what you mean, I need help with digi because my quick pages are far from it too.... Love the result here :-) I've heard great things about Jessica Sprague where digi is concerned, I can't resist a Shimelle class, and now that photography one sounds perfect for my needs too.... Looks like I might see you in all 3 classes!! x

I haven't got musch of a clue with all the digi stuff so will be watching your blog with interest to see how helpful the classes are!

Well done Jacky! Your page looks fabulous!
It is quite a steep learning curve to get your head around all of the digital stuff - it took me ages and I left stuff alone and kept coming back until I eventually got the hang of it.

Jacky - the wonderful thing about Jessica's classes is that you have "forever" access - you can keep going back and revisiting the content until you learn it. And if you get behind, you can catch up at your own pace. I love the sound of Shimelle's new class but am already signed up for too many! Yikes!

I, too, have three classes happening this month... hoping to get some inspiration and scrappy crafting happening! good luck!

Lol...you ARE busy! I'm taking Shimelle's Something from Nothing class too. I did her Journal Your Christmas and loved it. I finished the Lisa Day Challenge of Me class over at Big Picture Scrapbooking and had fun with that too. They also offer free classes just like Shimelle. Don't you just love scrappin'?! :-D

Its a great page! By the way, it gets much quicker the more you scrap in digi! My first page took hours and looked horrendous, but now I can whip up a page in about 20 mins from scratch.

I'm in with you for Shimelle's class....and now.....I think I might have to sign up for the camera class too....ooh we'll be double class mates!

I think your page is fabulous :) I love your photo! I have never done any digi scrapping, so I'm in complete awe of anyone who can! I hope this photography class turns out to be a good one now..when I've finished that I think I might be ready for photo editing.

You did a great layout, Jacky!!! You might have a bit of a problem keeping up with all three classes, so try to keep up with the classes that will not be available when they are finished. Jessica's classes are available forever and so are the dedicated forums for that class and the gallery.
