First card of the Year - Rinda's Collage Challenge

On Rinda's blog you can see the most wonderful collages.......and collage cards.....often using vintage photos and images.........this weekend she has challenged her blog readers to make a collage type card..........I can't resist a challenge........and I love the fact it's something a bit different for me.....though I couldn't resist a bit of layering!!

The card is dark green [not black!]..............the background paper is a Fairy soap advert from a vintage images CD...................the main image is a download from Oldphotoalbum [where she shares some great vintage pics] layered onto some gold paper.............sentiment is from Clare Curds Sentiment set..........ribbon from stash.........flower and gems from Kath's blog candy prize......plus quite a bit of distress ink.
I really enjoyed making this card.......thanks for the inspiration,Rinda.......and will definately be making more.

Love the way you have used the page out of an old book as one of your layers, it works so well with the vintage picture.

Oh, wow - this is fab :-) Not at all your usual style and yet still with your own style applied! Sorry I've neglected your blog lately but I've enjoyed catching up. Best wishes for 2010 xx
