Diestodiefor Competition

Tracey at Diestodiefor has a sketch competition open til Sunday...and some great prizes...and new stock in her lovely shop. My 3 new Sugar Nellies have arrived [now I've got 4!!!] so just had to use this gorgeous Daisy for the competition.

I started off using promarkers...but soon found I couldn't get the shading or colours I wanted with them,so reverted to my trusty ole watercolour pencils....I really am crap with the promarkers....can't get the hang of them...always too deep a colour...and don't get the shading right either....doesn't help that I haven't got many, whereas I've got dozens of pencils....maybe I should try copics.....or stick with the watercolours....don't like to give up though.....having bought the damn things...anyway,enough ranting.
The papers are all PM Regency [does anyone else think PM's new papers are really nice and a vast improvement?]....flowers are Hero Arts....and sentiment is from free PM set on latest Creativity mag [and a lovely little set that is too].
My brother and niece are coming for weekend...so out and about in this lovely weather [fingers crossed]....and have a hen night to go to tomorrow....so not much crafting this weekend me thinks .... better go and practise with the promarkers while I've still got some time.
Don't forget to go visit Tracey's shop.

Hi Jacky,
I too are struggling with the promarkers, but i'll keep trying. Yes the new range of papers are so gorgeous and easy to combine with others. I think your card is absolutely gorgeous and I do adore that image, must put that on my wish list . I really think she's cute. if I got that card I think I'd leave it out on display for a very long time.
Happy crafting

Beautiful card Jacky, those stamps are just so pretty aren't they. Promarkers are a problem, I never get it right, my daughter loses her patience with me lol. Utube have some great tutorials. Have a nice weekend with the relatives.

Oh your card is beautiful hun, really pretty colours and yes I love those new PM papers. I used to struggle with Promarkers too and decided to have a go with copics and they are much easier to blend and shade, I mix them too.

So beautiful jacky! Daisy is one of my all time favourite stamps :) Don't give up on the pro markers - they can always be used in conjunction with copics if you need more colour range
Your water colouring is fab

p.s. can't believe you only just recieved my mobile - that must be a record for slow emails LOL

Hi Jacky, Love the card - it is so 'English Elegance'. The papers are fantastic. I'm thinking of investing in some form of pens - but I think I'll wait a while and see how you get on with the pro-markers. Do you know anything about Whispers 'Strokes'? Have a lovely busy weekend. Love Cherry XXX
