Golden Gate Park

During our trip to San Francisco........after spending a great morning with Rinda.......she dropped us off in Golden Gate Park.....the girls wanted to go in the Science Museum but OH and myself decided we'd rather spend the afternoon wandering round the park as we had limited time and the museum was extremely expensive [sadly].The girls loved it though.
The park is pretty vast, amazingly lush and has lots of different areas and venues to explore......we only had time for a very small part....it seems amazing that it was once nothing more than windswept sand dunes. It does seem a shame that many things in the park require paying to enter. We did find the Botanical Gardens rather small and disappointing after paying to get into them.......the Japanese Tea Gardens,on the other hand, were worth the charge and I've made a separate page about them.
We would have liked to spend longer exploring the park......but we did also get a trip round it on the hop-on-hop-off bus the following day en route to another part of town.....which gave us a good perspective of just how large and varied it is.

It does look lovely, though it's interesting to hear about the expense. You are going to have a wonderful, full album to remember this holiday with

On our first trip to San Fran we spent a Sunday afternoon (no traffic allowed) biking around the park. I have fond memories and some great photos from that day!

Nice layout - your paper choices really reinforce the garden theme.
