Having Easter fun

Christmas Day and Easter Sunday are when we have our two big family gatherings.....about 16 people....and whereas Christmas means a traditional roast dinner.....Easter means a traditional afternoon tea with sandwiches, scones, teabread, cakes and biscuits.....with a few of the slightly less traditional crisps thrown in.....or on the floor if you're 3 years old.
The littlies were far more interested in the Easter egg hunt......too manic to actually get photos of.....and Bigger A.......who found the majority of them...... was very good about the "when the hunt's finished the eggs need sharing equally" bit......and then the Easter crafting......and Little A was very good about the "this is how you do it" highly assertive instructions of a bossy 8 year old!!
Little S meanwhile was her usual happy self.....especially when she was attempting to 'walk' around the chairs.
The adults though.....they definately over indulged in food of the type that really should only be eaten once a year!

I'm thinking I prefer your version of Easter to ours. Although I do like ham and pineapple stuffing.

Lovely layout and I think we will be adopting your version of Easter food next year I love the idea of High Tea on Easter Sunday.

Sounds like fun Easter at your house. DD and her cousins are still grappling with the sharing and playing nice thing.

Looks scrumptious! A bit of indulgence with a happy family sounds delightful. I like the angles you've taken the photos from - very interesting to the eye. And that red cluster bottom right is very pretty ...
