This week.....

This week.......is half term......so no work for me.
This week...... we were threatened with a massive storm.......it wasn't nearly that bad here....but every single apple was blown off the apple trees.
This week.......I have been busy cooking with the said apples.
This week.......I spent a FUN day christmas crafting with my friend G.
This week.......I had lunch at the Garden Centre with my SIL and bought christmas candles.....and some little gifts
This week.......I began sorting out my craft area.....with limited success!!
This week......it was Halloween......and we had 4 groups of trick or treaters knock at the door....good thing I invested in some spooky sweets.
This week......Little A had sugar overload!!
This week......I've been home alone......DD1 is holidaying in Spain......and OH is away working......which is a miracle in itself....because
Last week......the large 'umbrella company' that he worked for went bankrupt......everybody except those few in his subsidiary lost their jobs last Monday.....the administrator asked his group to carry on working as he was confident he could find a buyer for their part of the company......OH [and others] were 'trapped' in Belgium for 2 days as all the company accounts were frozen......and the administrator desperately tried to sort it out.
This week......they were bought out by another company......who have even promised to honour the October payroll.....and the job goes on.
This week......I am so grateful for him still having a job.....and so sad for all the people who lost theirs.
This week......has been a strange old week!!!

Wow, that has been at least a week and a half! Glad there was good news there. Can understand how you feel. OH went through something similar a few years back. I bought some similar candles too this week :0)

Gosh, lots going on and so glad to hear that things worked out for your hubby's job!

Jacky, I really love the flow of this post - kind of a twist on the "Hello Monday" meme but looking back on the week that happened. Well done! Have a great weekend. :o)

Oh my goodness, that must have been an anxious time for you both ... You are way ahead of me in the Christmas shakes, so I am full of admiration :).

Gosh, that must have been very worrying for you. Definitely a week you'll be glad to have behind you!

I love that feeling of having a few gifts safely tucked away

What a troubling week in many respects. Here's hoping the job situation sorts itself out in a satisfactory way. These situations are happening everywhere I fear. Apple crisp and apple pie have been calling to me this week. We don't have any on our property, but I think I'm going to have to buy some for baking soon!

I love that first photo. Thank you so much Jacky for the sweet parcel that arrived today. So many goodies there. I loved by quilt square and the package of material was so generous. Thank you.

Oh the job losses are terrible - manufacturing has been on a steep decline here and many people are losing their jobs, it is so worrying despite the fact that everyone keeps telling us we are in a mining/minerals boom.

The photo of the girls is lovely Jacky :)

Like DebTurtle I too like the week in retrospect. What an up and down week it was! Glad your DH still has a job but sorry for his work colleagues.

As you can tell, I'm way behind with my blog reading. Still, I really like your "this week" approach. Your apples look so good---and to have them in your backyard is awesome. I can't wait to see your Christmas crafts. And, I'm glad too that your hubby hasn't lost his job!
