Frosty Festivities Blog Hop

Welcome....welcome....today I'm joining in with the 'Frosty Festivities' Blog Hop which is part of Jennifer's wonderful weekend wintery Extravaganza. There's loads of amazing crafty inspiration to be found.....and a mega prize to be won!!
I love making mixed media canvas collages......and as I've never made a wintery one.....what better time than this.
I started by covering my canvas with scraps of 'wintery' papers
These were then toned down a bit with a mix of white and pearl paint.
White acrylic paste was applied using snowflake and circle masks.....I may have overdone the snowflakes a tad......they took a day to dry!!! I sprinkled glimmer dust on the snowflakes while they were wet.....but couldn't really catch it on the photo.
I then added some stamping.......more snowflakes, more circles and some sentiments.
I stamped, coloured, paper pieced and cut out a Prima doll.......added some glittered wings......and forgot to photograph her!!
She was added to the canvas along with a christmas tree [an unused tree decoration,I think]......and a bit more [photographically invisible!!] glimmer dust was shaken over the background. It really is much more sparkly in 'real life'.
Voila.....the end result.
And if you pop round the blog hop to see all the inspiration........leave a comment on each blog.......and finish at Jennifer's blog.....you'll be in with a chance of winning a mega prize .....Simple Stories December Documented and Elle’s Studio Noel items, worth over £28! All entries must be received by Monday the 11th of November at 10.59pm GMT.
Your next stop on the hop is Jill.......and I'm sure you'll love what she has for you.
Thank you for visiting......and enjoy the weekend's fun.

This is so beautiful and dreamy! I love the doll, though I'd have had to paint her a face as things without a face freak me out! The background looks amazing and I can imagine the sparkle! Thanks so much for joining in with the hop! x
