A bit of Christmas knitting

I've been revisiting all Jennifer's 'Frosty Festivities' posts this week.....she's challenged us to be inspired by any of her posts......I loved the crochet hat she made here.......but however much I try I just can't get the hang of crochet......but it did inspire me to get out my knitting [which I can do if it's simple] needles to make a few little christmas gifts.
Some flower brooches and owl keyrings.......simple and quick to knit.......though putting the brooch bars on the back of the flowers takes me almost as long as the knitting!!

No, I haven't got the hang of crochet yet either - you aren't alone! These are really cute gifts.

Your knitting is so cute!!! I knit and crochet and find crocheting way easier. I think it's much more forgiving than knitting. It's harder to see mistakes! I've never knitted anything little---just a couple of throws and many scarves. Maybe this winter, I'll try something new. Thanks for the inspiration.

Those little owls are just too cute! And I'm opposite of you - I could understand crochet, but knitting just got me all in knots!

These are just gorgeous Jacky. I love crocheting but hold the hook like a knitting needle lol.

Those owls are so cute! I don't crochet or knit . . . or do any sewing really - LOL.

Those little owls are so cute, and seeing your flowers reminds me how lucky I am to actually own one myself. :o)

I've dabbled in crochet just a little and loved it! I have a friend who is coming over on Sunday to teach me how to knit dish cloths. I'll let you know how that goes for me...

Have a lovely weekend!

Now see I looked at the owls and then read about crochet hats and wondered if they were hats for the pine cones... Glad you adding the explanation below for easily befuddled people like me.

Those flowers are lovely too.

How cute are those owlets! I never got the hang of crochet either - I think I never could quite see the point of all those holes in the wool you ended up with!

These are so cute Jacky, I love them! I learned to knit and crochet when I was in school, and I always found crochet much easier :) May have to try making an owl for Christmas - I have a friend who collects them! x

Those owls are adorable! I've never knit anything but a scarf, so I'm always impressed with I see things like these.
