Some Happy Mail-to cheer me up

I'm a bit fed up at the moment....4 weeks ago I went for a long walk....which resulted in an achy knee....which turned into a very painful knee.....a visit to the doctor and an x-ray resulted in a diagnosis of arthritis....now that doesn't surprise me....but how it can go from the occasional ache.....to debilitating pain I don't understand!!
The knee is now.....not only extremely painful....but has stiffened up so will not bend properly either.
This makes so many things difficult or impossible at the moment...... driving, walking, shopping, sitting at the computer,gardening....even sitting crafting becomes painful after awhile....and getting taxis to work was not in my planned budget!!!!
So I am not a very happy person right now.
But 3 pieces of Happy Mail have cheered me up......the first was from Jennifer....a prize from her wonderful 'Projects that Wow' course.....a lovely assortment of [mainly Basic Grey] goodies.
Then came a giveaway prize from one of the cardmaking mags......a package crammed full of chipboard embellishments.
And then I won a giveaway of Steph's 'Clearly Besotted' stamps on her blog.....I could choose 4 sets......I asked if I could have 3 stamp sets and the hexagon dies to match the hexagon stamps.....not only did she send them.....but also the dies to match the 'Make a Wish' set.....so kind....and her stamps are such high quality and good value.....you might want to take a look in her shop.
Now I just need to actually start crafting again!!

WOW!! That fab mail would cheer me up too - you lucky thing you.

Sorry to hear about the arthritis flare up. Paracetymol works better than ibuprofen on arthritis and maybe some physio on that knee (helped my mum). They'll also be able to advise on some gentle exercises to keep you more mobile too.

All the best

Great happy mail! Having been through debilitating knee pain with chondromalacia, I can truly sympathize. For me, it was ice packs, Aleve, and exercise to strengthen the quads and loosen the hamstrings (those muscles help take some of the burden off the knees) that got me back to mobile.

Woohoo! I know you'll put those all to good use. I'm taking it very easy right now as my left leg (from knee to hip) is oddly cranky.
I hope it's nothing serious (for me), and I hope you feel better soon.
