Scavenger Hunt link up

I'm joining in Rinda's summer photography Scavenger Hunt.....and today she has a link up to catch up with everyone.Due to problems with my knee.....I haven't been out much lately.....in fact I'm turning into a bit of a recluse!!!!
So not many captures yet I'm afraid.....and all of them very close to home.
1. an open air market.....this was an easy one as we have 2 open air markets in our town....and our W.I. sometimes has a craft stall at one of them.
3. a city hall.....our Town Hall is an old building in the very centre of town......surrounded by a much more modern shopping centre.

4. an aeroplane......I played around with this photo in Picmonkey.......I quite like the effect of the plane silhouetted above the derelict pier......and it's a pretty rare plane....the only Vulcan bomber in the world still flying.
6.something taking a nap.....not difficult in our house......Stella spends most of her life taking naps!!!!

7.a sign that is intentionally or unintentionally funny.......this sign above our back door always brings a smile to someone entering our kitchen for the first time.....it was a Mother's Day gift from DD1......which may be slightly concerning!!!!
9. something that is clearly out of place......a pirate ship in the middle of the shopping centre.......which delights the kids......the fame of our annual 'pirate day' has obviously spread......as this was donated to our town earlier this year by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
13.a fence.......and the perfect [or not so perfect] fence should be covered in greenery.
This means I've only captured a third of the 'hunt' so far.....I'm hoping to improve on that number before the end of September......and manage to get a bit further afield as well.

They are great shots though Jacky. I do like the one of your plane. Hope the knee is showing signs of improvement x

Great captures so far, Jacky, sorry to hear your knee continues to hamper activity.

That Vulcan will be at the Clacton air show in August (Friday only) if anyone wants to see it.

Well done Jacky, you have difficult constraints this year!

That sign is a god one :)

The photo of the Vulcan is amazing; glad you told me what it was. I hope that knee soon improves; it's never fun to be in pain, but summer is the worst I think.

What a great aircraft shot. I think mine is going to be far more mundane! sorry to hear that the knee is curtailing your outings, hope it's more comfortable soon.

Oh Jacky, I hope your knee is better soon & you can venture out! Great photos so far for the hunt. I've been out and traveling most of July, but am now "turning into a recluse" as I recover from Shingles! UGH

I love the look of your city hall, Jacky! Ours in Chandler is VERY modern looking and not something I really want to photograph, but I may have to include it out of desperation before the end of the summer. Great photos!!!

Wookie was very impressed to hear/see that the Vulcan bomber was now airworthy and flying. "Awesome" and he figures that is better than our Hurricane photo as yours is flying :)

That sign is funny too!

Very cool pic of the bomber and the old pier! I think you are doing very well considering the knee issue. I love the shot of Stella :)

sometimes we need a way to be forced to look closer to home than we would normally have thought. Nice finds

Jackie, agree with all the others - the Vulcan bomber shot is great!

Oh wow, you got a Tampa Bay Bucs ship in the shopping centre?!?! FAB! :) We saw the original way back in 1999.

Wow, what a fun project! I'll have to look into this scavenger hunt.

I like the pirate ship in the middle of town--my pirate-obsessed nephew would love it!

Great shots Jackie - I like your sign. I used to belong to the WI and made some good friends but I have left now as all the activities are daytimes when I am at work.

You may only have a third but they are great shots.

Hope that knee is improving? Despite this you have a great clutch of photos here. I do like the pirate boat, and you did well to capture that unique plane - and the filter is fun, and just perfect for the context.
