It's finally arrived!!

Most of the rest of the country has been blanketed in it for days.....they've been warning us for at least a week......the temperatures are freezing......but we'd only had a brief smattering......until today.....it started at 8am and hasn't stopped since.......and now we are living in a Winter Wonderland.....it may look beautiful.....but I'm not a big fan.
Because despite all the warnings....it will no doubt mean large swathes of the South grind to a halt......somehow our country is still totally unable to cope with snow!!
And me......we have a freezer full of food.....a conservatory full of logs.....a roaring fire....and I'm snuggling down with the new 'DCI Banks' paperback.
But first I thought I'd join in Helena's 'look up....look down' photo challenge.
look down
look up
not a lot of difference there today!!!!

You may not be a big fan but you have photographed it beautifully.

I'm another one who's not a fan but that's only because I have to struggle to get to work in it. Your photo is beautiful.

I also like to stay cosy indoors Jacky :). Unfortunately they're still predicting more snow for the next 3 days!

It does look beautiful! And it sounds like you've got a great plan for how to spend your day. We've been enjoying watching premier league action in the snow! Finally, I love your look up, look down.
Stay warm,
Rinda

It does look pretty and I don't mind it, if I'm not going anywhere. The Look up, look down photos did make me smile!

Like you I'm not a fan of it but that picture really looks wonderful. Now if only we didn't have to go out in it. :)
LOL - loved your look up, look down photos - yep not a lot of difference at all. Stay warm.

I'm one of those annoying people that love it to bits. I'm super super excited. Although I'm rather happy to be sitting in front of the wood burner as I blog read :)

Ha ha ha, I love that your photos of looking up and down are the same! Brilliant! It sounds like you'll be tucked in all snug, enjoy! x

Your first photo is really lovely, and your Up/Down photos are exactly why I've decided not to get involved with this particular project. Until March (or maybe April) that's probably about all we'll see. Sigh.

Oh my goodness! We have been reading you were all hit. More than Michigan (I see grass right now)...I hope you are ok and just stay in and have tea and chocolate bisquits (Clubs and Penguins)! xoxo

What a gorgeous picture!

We had some on Friday, but it disappeared completely. I'm hoping the next lot doesn't arrive until we can get our jammed open velux window fixed!

Love the up and down looks this week lol. The snow looks lovely and it sounds like you could settle in for a lengthy stay quite easily!

Your garden looks lovely in the snow.

That's probably the easiest Look Up, Look Down yet! I agree snow is lovely to look at only if you can curl up with a good book for the day.

Your first photo is stunning, Jacky, and I had a little chuckle over your up/down shots. ;o)
