Journal Your Christmas 2

This one actually documents December 1st.......and rather than numbering my pages in the album......as I'm not doing a page every day......I'm going to date them.
S and I had a stall at the W.I. Christmas Bazaar.......the first time I've done anything like this......it was an interesting experience.....the bazaar wasn't overly busy.......too many other events competing on that day.......a lot of people looked at the stall.......there were a lot of very positive comments.......but not a large amount sold......people wanted the cheap bargains on other stalls!!!! I did make a few pounds....and the things that sold best were my felt tree ornaments........despite the fact the W.I. were selling their own felt ornaments at less than half the price.
I would probably do something like this again.....but think very carefully about what I made to sell.

The stall looks fantastic Jacky. Years ago I made soft toys to sell at a Craft stall - it's a day of highs and lows isn't it? Very exciting when someone gets their purse out!

It's funny you should mention selling your felt ornaments ... another crafting pal took lots of things to a craft fayre (including some fabulous cards) but it was her felt ornaments which sold the best!

Lovely layout btw and good luck with the rest of your December book

I've never had much luck at craft shows with sales. Usually barely enough to make back my table fee, despite tons of oohs and ahhs and positive comments from the looky-loos. I think it may be the nature of the beast.

It looks great Jacky. I have never done a craft fair but would love to have a go!

I don't think that un-crafty people really realise how much time and effort goes into making things some times! Sounds like your felt work was the star of the show.

I am not surprised your little felt ornaments sold - they were gorgeous.

It's a wonderful page, Jacky. I've never tried to sell anything at a bazaar, but Tracy's cousin does regularly. She does very well one time, and not so well another. No way to anticipate, and she offers most of the same items each time.

I did something like this too once and I didn't sell much, but my friend sold almost all of her stuff. so I agree, thinking and planning what prepare to sell is important so it is worth your time.

Love your pages Jacky!

Great page - I like the patterned paper layers.
