Cards with scrapbook supplies

I tend to make my cards with cardmaking supplies.......they usually include coloured, stamped images and lots of small embellishments......and tend to be on the cute side.
I always love the cards that I see on other blogs that are made with scrapbook supplies......but find it quite difficult to make them myself [unless they include Graphic 45]......or certainly not any that I'd want to share!
Then I came across Jen Gallacher's 'Seasonal Cards' series......making Christmas cards with mainly scrapbook supplies......and they really inspired me. The series of 10 cards comes with videos showing how each is made......but I haven't actually watched the videos.....just loved the simplicity of the cards.
So I had a go at making some 'scrapped' cards myself......I'm not sure how well I've done.....but I do like them better than any I've attempted before.
I used a Carta Bella winter digi kit
These are the just the first two.......once I started I got a bit carried away!!
Some challenges......Cupcake Craft want 'kraft'......Craft your Passion want 'hexagons'.......and Scrap Creations want 'digi'

The first one is very different from others I've seen you make. However, in the second one, I do see a bit of layering which, as far as I am concerned, is one of your trademarks. '-)) Both cards look great.

I love the colors you've chosen. I still haven't gotten my Christmas supplies out. Perhaps this week. I also think both these cards have your trademark style!

They are lovely Jacky. I came to cardmaking throgh scrapbooking, so all my cards are made with left over scrapbooking supplies. I think it's interesting that a couple of the scrapbooking kit clubs are now offering card kits too

These cards are gorgeous! I love the first one especially, because I like the hexagons, and how the sentiment is layered on top of the banners! x

That's interesting, I guess I do create cards with my stamps (from Stampin Up) more so than scrapbooking supplies! I like that though - probably because I don't make enough cards and then when I do, it's kinda like Christmas because I find stuff I didn't even remember buying!
