The Fabulous Fountain

The first place we jumped off the tour bus in Rome was the Trevi Fountain.......we were still fairly fresh at this point.......the heat wasn't too intense.......and we were pretty impressed by the fountain.......simply stunning.......though in the summer there are just so many people in such a small space that good photos are almost impossible.
We spent some time admiring.......had a wander round the adjacent streets......a bit of tourist shopping.....and found a reasonably priced [not easy in Rome] restaurant for a pizza lunch......before leaping back on the bus......and the heat had definately cranked up by this time.

Stonking page Jacky - when I went to see the Trevi fountain I was singularly unimpressed ...... but then it was covered with scaffolding and a tarpaulin!!! Nice to see what it should have looked like!

Happy Tuesday

Another beautiful page for your travel album! I think I need to do a thorough search for my slides. All these posts make me wonder if I do have any decent photos from that trip so many years ago.

I think you got some lovely photos! Did you throw in some coins and hope for a return visit?

I love this layout, Jacky! I've had the opportunity to see Trevi Fountain myself, and you're right about all the people standing around - tough to get decent photos.

Gorgeous! I really want to do a tour of Italy - it's such a beautiful country but I want to do it without the children to really appreciate it :) In the meantime I'll enjoy it through your pictures x

Excellent paper choice (especially the patterned paper). We had kindof a magical time at the Fountain (we found a quiet-ish, shaded corner).

Beautiful fountain, and I really like the way you did the layout page.

Those turquoise blues make a great background for your lovely detailed photos - the sculpting is so clear.
