The Colosseum

We made it to the Colosseum during the mid afternoon of our day in Rome......it was totally amazing......we wandered round the outside in awe.......as were hundreds of other tourists........but by then we were also hot, tired and frazzled.......the queues to get inside were at least an hour long.......standing in the searing heat.......we didn't really have that amount of time to spare......and,to be honest, by that time an ice cold drink seemed more appealing!!!
I added some notes on the Colosseum on the back of the page.......I often find it helpful to copy and paste info about a place from the internet........it's a good reminder of the facts.......and the facts about the Colosseum are fascinating.
Another place to re-visit when we return to Rome.

It is a great idea to add interesting facts from the internet to the back of a page, something for me to keep in mind for the future.
You have chosen great paper for this page Jacky.

I remember the exact same feeling when my cousins and a pal visited Rome too, Jacky. Do they still have hundreds of cats wandering about too?

Love your page - very (very) striking

Happy Thursday

We loved the Coliseum. some of the mosaics inside are amazing, as are the places where the gladiators would enter. I'd definitely suggest a return trip.

Great layout - the polka dot paper is a nice background for your fantastic photos.

That paper really makes the photos flow seamlessly into one another - very well chosen! I can understand the need for ice-cream ...

All the photos I took in Europe were slides, and I'm quite sure I couldn't find them if my life depended on it. I wonder what mine looked like from Rome. I have strong visual memories, and am loving seeing your lovely photos.
