A bit of clever editing usually helps!! But I prefer natural shots anyway!! D

This is why they say 'never work with children or animals'! I agree with Sandi, and much prefer informal shots.

I love group shots because there is always someone who has his head turned, or crying, or holding up two fingers in back of the person in front of him. Eventually you get a good shot--as evidenced by your final photo!

LOL - isn't that the way it usually goes! The photos are still cute. And your garden looks so lush and green and beautiful!

But these shots are so much more REAL than the fake-smile posed ones!

Hi Jacky,

Do you remember me? It's been a LONG time since I was blogging unfortunately! I am hopefully back for now! :o)

Your post made me chuckle! I hope you had a wonderful time with your family.

Ha ha. We have the same problem here. The more people the more difficult it gets! Lovely that you were all together though

So true, but at least they are all in the same photo - how awesome!

Been catching up on blog reading. Your last three cards are all super - I think the baby girl one is my fave! Love to see family group shots! I think the key is arranging the group in a certain way and then trying to get them to look your way. Sometimes asking them all to laugh works. As for the kids, I sometimes meow or bark like a dog to get them to turn around!

I agree, natural photos are good but when I want a special shot I usually do something that catches attention. I like Rinda's idea of mewing or barking like a dog, thanks for the idea Rinda! Otherwise an enthusiastic 'wow look at this!' can turn heads long enough for a quick shot. Your post made me smile & think of the times I've been in your situation.

I think we've all been there at one time or another! But some of my favorite photos ended up being the "out-takes."
