Thinking of You

Not much time for crafting last week.......or this one........loads of work prep to do......and OH is home as well......we're putting finishing touches to the kitchen.....having a good clear up and sort out in other [cluttered] rooms.......and working out in the garden [during rain breaks]......which has really sprung into life with all the rain we're having.
So just a quick card.......I love this image of the iconic British telephone box.....sadly there are fewer and fewer of them around.....replaced by modern 'clear'ones......with no character whatsoever.....our local one has a KFC advert all over it!!
And this card didn't make it into the 'flat' variety either.....as that little mouse just had to be layered onto the phone box!
Some challenges......'Anything goes' for Truly Scrumptious........Dutch Dare Challenges want 'birthday fun'........Totally Papercrafts want 'no girls'........Allsorts, Lollipop Crafts and Southern Girls want 'for a man/boy'........Craft Your Days want 'all creatures great and small' and Penny Black and More wants 'London Celebrates'.
Do hope it's a bit drier wherever you are.

It's lovely to see that phone box! Round here the only one to be found is in someone's garden as a decoration. You can really work that "Jubilee" look Jacky

You sure have nailed this red, white and blue colour scheme with this fantabulous card.

I love the image and wish our phone boxes didn't keep disappearing too.

Good luck with the finishing touches to your kitchen - looking forward to the before and after shots, having only seen "mid" shots!

Happy Tuesday

You may as well hang up the "flat" look... you know those foam dots are calling you...

This is just too cute. I'm loving all the red, white & blue that's around at the moment. You're so right about there not being enough of the red telephone boxes around anymore ... What a shame

Love that phone box :o) I find my cards don't seem quite 'finished' these days without something raised on foam pads!

Lovely card, and you are fortunate to still have phone boxes. If I can find a phone at all it is usually just attached to a wall outside a mini-mart with no privacy at all.

The village next to ours still has a functionin red phonebox! Lovely to see but a bit smelly inside!!! :) Great card & the mouse is the perfect finishing touch! Stay dry!! :D

So sad to hear the boxes are disappearing. They're definitely a London signature to me!

There are no such phone boxes around here, actually, there are also very few public phones at all these days!

A really great card for our theme Jackie.

It is sad that the iconic phone boxes are few are far between now, guess we can blame that on the mobile phone. I heard the other day that they are selling off the phone boxes, but not sure where one puts them.

Thanks so much for joining our London Celebrations at Penny Black and More this month.

Hope you have a good weekend.

This is just the cutest card! I love the hedgehog and the mouse. Hope it dries out there soon. We were so lucky to be in Oregon for a two week dry spell. Everyone we talked to was simply amazed at the wonderful weather they were having.
