Monthly Make....loving boats

And when I say 'loving boats'.....I really mean loving watching them.....I try to avoid traveling on small boats......and I class cross channel ferries as small!
I haven't really cross stitched for years.....but in the last few months I'm really loving it again........especially snuggled up on the sofa watching TV on a chilly evening........so this is my second cross stitch picture this year.......and I loved this small boat piece as soon as I saw the pattern.......it reminds me of one of my favourite places to be........in a small Cornish town or village ........down by the harbour.
I'm just scraping into April's Monthly Make.....I haven't even framed it yet.....I haven't even decided what type of frame yet!!
But I have already started on my next cross stitch project......which is a big one......and definately won't be ready next month.

Lovely cross stitch. I really like the bright red of the boat against the sea wall.

Excellent! When I first saw this in my reader I thought it was a mosaic - obviously I had not woken up properly at that stage!
Well done, it looks fantastic!

I love this design & it's so beautifully stitched! I used to cross stitch before I started paper scrapping, but it's sort of been forgotten about!! I do have a very large project kit which has never been started & if I'm honest, cost rather a lot!! So maybe this is the catalyst I need to dig it out?!! Thanks for the inspiration!! :D

Jacky, this is absolutely lovely! I love the design too you are making me want to pull out some threads again too. I might even pick up a magazine. I used to buy cross stitch magazines all the time. Love this!

I love this one Jacky. It's done in what I call "my colours" - reds and blues. I also like this style of picture and it reminds me of one I saw when we were staying at a little hotel in Dunure, Scotland. Looking forward to seeing what the big project is xx
