Because my photos are in a straight line......spinning them round is fairly easy....makes quite a difference to the look of the page........and works quite well........but I'm not so sure about the title down the side of the page......and I'd probably normally move it across to the top left.
The photos were taken on one of the few warm,sunny weekends last year.......OH's cousin and partner had come to visit and we were invited to 'afternoon tea' at OH's brother's.......sandwiches,scones and cakes washed down with plenty of tea......sitting chatting in the garden....a perfect afternoon.

Your sketch worked great for this layout. I like the title down the side, although I think I would have turned the letters the other way so it read down the page.
I like the title on the side! Alternatively, you could have faced the letters the right way round and had it read top to bottom...
We don't do afternoon tea often enough anymore, it is a lovely time to wind down. The title on the side looks fine too by the way.
Can't beat sitting outside having afternoon tea :) oh I so like this sketch, and I don't know I quite like the title as it is :)
I like sideways titles - though I generally have mine facing in towards the rest of the page IYKWIM - I once did it with a vertical stack

but I really didn't like how the letters all had different widths.
Gosh I'm SO behind with this class - the sketch is done, but no pages at all yet :o(

Our day today was like this, lovely and unseasonably warm so I sat outside with a cup of coffee and read. I like the turn but understand what you are saying about the title.

I love the photos, and the blue paper is beautiful. I might face the letters in the other direction, so the A is at the top, if you know what I mean.

Well I think it all works really well, even the 'sideways on' title!! Nice to look back on a rare sunny afternoon too...I'm hoping 2012 will bring us all plenty more!! :)
