I started off with this frame....saw it in a sale.......looking dirty and sorry for itself.......but immediately knew it could be altered. I began with a coat of gesso.......followed by a coat of PaperArtsy fresco finish acrylic paint in 'Honey Dew'.........topped with a tiny amount of the same paint in 'Hey Pesto' dry brushed on [love these paints].......the edges had a little gold rub on smeared on.
Because it was for OH I didn't want anything elaborate or cute.......he prefers simple.......so a couple of bits of stamping in the corners......both Papermania stamps.......and I can see that postmark stamp being very useful.
The addition of a photo finished it off.....it still looks a bit distressed.....but happy distressed, I hope!!
