You've been framed

I received a photo frame from my MIL last christmas.......and when I say 'last christmas' I [shamefacedly] mean christmas 2010.......I knew immediately what I wanted to do with it......and I'd like to say it was the problem of resizing the photos that caused the inexcusable delay......but no......I did manage to do that months ago......and then it just sat in my 'to do' pile!!!!!!
But this week I've been busy 'doing it'.
I used 5 of the spaces for family photos.....with a photo of each of us......and a central one of the kids taken just after DD2 was born.
The other spaces have been embellished with MME 'Lost and Found' scraps.
So now it's ready to hang up.....except.....I'm now not sure about the one b + w photo......and I'm thinking of changing it.....any opinions?

What a great project! I think you're right about the black and white photo - a color one would probably seem more consistent, but wouldn't worry too much if you couldn't find one.

I think it's a fab project and I bet you are sooooooooooooo glad you finally got round to it. I think you reckon the B&W pic looks odd as it's the only B&W but actually I think it's just fine. HOWEVER, you are the one who has to look at it so if you're not happy then change it - could you keep the same photo but just add colour (in photobucket or something similar)?

I'm hesitating offering any advice - I always think you get it just right!

I like it the way it is...I wouldn't have thought to use papers instead of pics- must remember this

As a whole I think the project came out awesome! But I think your instincts are right about the B& W photo. If it's giving you pause, I'd say change it out!

Gorgeous - love the mix of photos and papers & embellies. I do wonder at the B&W on its own ... makes me think perhaps he's no longer with you IYKWIM!! I might be tempted to change the photos of your DDs to B&W (or all 3 to sepia) to make them a coherent whole.

I think it's lovely and looks just right, but if the photo is going to bug you, you don't want to keep thinking about that every time you look at it

I have lots of empty photo frames - some from a lot longer than 2010! Love this idea though. Seems less scary than all photos. Will have to have a go.

I think you might be right about the black and white one - unless you wanted it to be a focal point!
I love what you've done with the frame though :o)

What a fab idea to put pretty papers in some of the frames, I love it! I think I would either switch the b&w photo for a colour one or swap one of the colour ones for a b&w one as it does stand out a little. But the whole frame just looks gorgeous :)

Love the project and Yay for getting it done. I am in the all color or all B&W camp :)

What a beautiful family you have Jacky. I think if I was only going to have one image in B&W it would have to be the middle one, but that's just me!

LOVE how the frame turned out, Jacky! I've been wanting to do something similar for a while now. I didn't even notice the B&W photo until you mentioned it, but then I figure you have a point. I think the photos should all be the same - either all in color or all done in B&W. xo

Love this & until you mentioned it I hadn't noticed the 'odd one out' at all!! BUT it's the kind of thing that would bug me too, so go with your gut feeling!!!! How great to tick something off a 'To Do' list!! Enjoy the moment!! :)

I think it looks lovely Jacky, although I know what it's like when you are not sure about something :)

I didn't notice the B&W until you mentioned it either, but if it bothers you now, it will probably continue to bother you and is worth changing. I love the frame and the way you've combined photos and patterned papers.
