Monthly Make - a bit of stitching and quilting

I'm joining in The Felt Fairy's 'Monthly Make' challenge......I joined last year......but must admit I didn't last very long......so I'm determined to keep up this year.
And I'm not going to include cards or scrap pages.....it seems a bit like cheating......as I make those all the time.....so something different for my monthly make.
This month I fancied a bit of stitching.......I do like stitching.......and I've found I know more people who like to receive fabric gifts, than papercraft gifts.......it's just that it seems to need a lot more finding and sorting and preparing than papercrafts!!
I found some very old.......and very bright......fabric to make a set of tablemats......and as the fabrics have a leaf pattern....... I decided to quilt some leaves on black fabric as part of the mat. This was not the best idea I've ever had.....as every bit of fleck and thread shows on black.......but I'll know better next time!!!!

What lovely bright colours Jacky. Love them against the black.

These look fabulous Jacky, so bright and cheerful. Invisible thread is really good for quilting on black.

Beautiful! I know, I definitely felt like I was cheating last year because I ended up counting layouts. I'm hoping this year will be different too

I do love a rainbow, so these are right up my street Jacky. I love the leaf shape quilting, very impressive.
I've failed this month, unless making cakes counts!
