And a card to match

Having made my 'stitchery' canvas as a birthday gift.......I decided that in the spirit of 'doing' rather than 'leaving til the last minute'........I'd make the card to go with it.
I made it to sort of co-ordinate with the canvas........using up some scraps of Cosmo Cricket 'Material Girl' papers [I'm getting quite into using up scraps.....though the box doesn't seem to go down at all!!]........and as the recipient is very into vintage.....my new Crafty Individuals stamp.....with a bit of distressing.....seemed perfect.
And with gifts received for christmas in mind....there's a few challenges wanting you to use something new this week.......Simon Says......Fab'n'Funky.......Papertake Weekly and Cute Card Thursday.......and The Shabby Tearoom have a photo themed stitchery challenge.

Very, very nice Jacky - I'm a huge admirer of the vintage look but it's difficult to achieve so I'm very impressed, the detail is spot on! x

The cotton reel is a stamp....with some baker's twine wrapped round it.

I think I like the card even more than the canvas! It's amazing. Did you see that your canvas was featured over on the blog where you won it?
