Countdown to Christmas 13 - JYC - How do you wrap your presents?

Anyone who's seen any of my past Christmas Journals will know I hate wrapping presents........I love making them......buying them......giving them.....receiving them.....I even love seeing beautifully wrapped presents......but I just don't have the patience for it myself!!!!
Then last week I received a gift.....that decided me to make a totally different page this year......no whinging about wrapping.....just admiration for what I'd received.
Because as well as being beautifully wrapped.......this gift came with a unique handmade tag......the most gorgeous knitted holly.
And because the photos printed a bit dark......here's the original.....how cool is that on a tag??
Do you wrap beautifully....or just get it wrapped??

Oh *gasp*, that is seriously gorgeous. I am like you Jacky, I really, really dislike wrapping. No patience and I always end up having a fight with sellotape. I do like to make nice labels though, but nothing as stunning as this! x

As always, a lovely layout from you and you must have been so thrilled to receive such a uniquely wrapped gift - the giver must have spent ages making those tags, you lucky thing.

I actually love to wrap presents and normally set aside an afternoon and/or evening to wrap. I put on Christmas music, pour myself a cup or glass of something festive and get cracking!

I made all my tags last year, to co-ordinate with my wrapping paper - but they weren't a patch on your knitted tag

Happy Tuesday

That is a fabulous embellishment. I love to wrap packages and decorate them. I have all the packages wrapped, but the bows and tags are not finished yet. My Christmas Journal page will have to wait until I'm done. Yours is lovely!

Oooh, did she happen to give you the pattern for the holly?

I'm ashamed to admit that as creative as I think I am... I have zero patience for the wrapping gig and do very little to make anything look nice. Wrapping is where the whole act of giving falls apart for me.

Oh that holly is adorable!!! In answer to your question, most of the time I just slap the paper on the gift and hit it with a tag. Our cat {Whiskers} chews ribbon and string so I can't do a whole lot of embellishing for the gifts that go under the tree. However, on the gifts that I package for mailing {to my mom and sister} I sweeten those up a bit and love every minute of it!

Too bad we don't live closer, Jacky. I'd be happy to come over and help wrap gifts for you!!! xo

I enjoy wrapping - I find it meditative. But I don't do anything fancy. I do enjoy making gift tags if I have time.
BTW, did you see Margi's blog today?

Knitted holly? Wow! J and I do the wrapping together becasue he likes to cut nice straight lines lol. I'm usually relegated to sellotape holder

What a lovely tag. I get fed up wrapping and tend to just do plain, simple and quick.

Oh my gosh how gorgeous, so much love has been put into decorating this. I'm certainly on the side of loving the decorating of gifts. For me it's part of the whole Christmas experience.

I love wrapping gifts...but I tend to do a few a day these days, instead of the mass 'wrapathon' I used to do!

I used to be a fastidious wrapper, and I still have my moments, but since having children I have learnt to not worry as it will not last for long!
