Pirates Ahoy

When Rinda's photo scavenger hunt included photographing a pirate......I knew that wouldn't be a problem......because last Friday we were invaded by pirates.....this sign gives you some idea of the scale of the problem!!
Yes.......it was our annual Pirate Day.......when the town plays hosts to thousands of pirates........and the skull and crossbones looks quite at home on houses that are hundreds of years old.
Even the shops get into the pirate mood!!

And from one end of town to the other........not forgeting the beach.......pirates are out marauding.

In fact it's probably harder to find someone who isn't a pirate.....than one who is!!!!
It's great fun for everyone......and I think I can tick 'pirate' off my scavenger hunt list....now if only I could find a unicycle!!

How weird is this Jacky, me and my hubby just spent most of the day building a very big lego pirate ship for Bobby, it took hours. Then I decide to do some blogging and find your pirate post LOL!!!!!

I love all your photos and it sounds like a fun day too.

Happy crafting

You live in the most wonderful place Jacky. There is always something exciting going on and you always capture it beautifully in your photos. Just one missing though, where is pirate JACKY?

Avast! Splice the mainbrace.... or something like that. There's nothing worse than a frustrated pirate.... Great piccies Jackie. I am deeply jealous and cross to have missed a golden opportunity to dig out my stripey trousers and hook.... Lx

No wonder I can't find a pirate, they're all in your town! Send some back to Hertfordshire please!

Oh how I wish we had a pirate day - a town filled with Captain Jack Sparrows makes my little heart go pitter pat!

Now that's a day my family would love! Seems you and I are the only two that view Pirates as the easy part of this hunt :)
