This was quite a poignant page to make......but one I needed to make......last New Year's Eve.......with our friends D and G.......the last photo ever taken of the four of us......and as someone who usually avoids the camera.....I'm so glad we had this photo taken.
Because there were so many clashing colours in the photo.........I decided to change it to black and white before scrapping it.......I may well add some hidden journaling behind the photo as well.

Its love in the black and white tones. The background paper is perfect for a celebration and the red lettering works perfectly to make it pop. Great page Jacky.
Great page Jacky...I often change pics to b&w if there's too many colours in them!

A superb page Jacky - a really fab and challenging idea to just use half a page. Turned out so well - a lovely way to remember your friends

I am impressed with how you managed this challenge Jacky - you have made a beautiful page and the colurs look fantastic ... I'm really glad you have this photo, it is such a precious memory.
I'm so impressed with you and the others who did several of these challenges. I had hoped to participate, but got excited with the direction of the Big Idea Festival and ended up concentrating on that. I had to let the challenges go for now.
This is great! I love the pop of red!
Great job on this, and I can feel the poignancy in your voice.
Hugs,
Rinda
It's a lovely layout, and I'm glad you have the photo. I didn't take photos when we were visiting my BIL and SIL because I wasn't feeling very well. Now that Mercy is gone, I'm filled with regret!
I've had a lovely time catching up with your blog and am so impressed with all the Christmas cards you've finished already. I've ordered a new die for cards this year, and expect to make just one, maybe two versions to send rather than many different ones.
As soon as I saw that picture I just knew what you were going to say x
Jacky I love your LO and the colours are just peerfect. So glad you have this photo and all the memories it no doubtedly holds for you x
It's a truly gorgeous page.
Good for you Jacky getting in another challenge, this one is lovely and the colours perfect :)
Lovely stylish page - the swirly vellum? is festive, the colours elegant and the photo in B&W is lovely. A celebration of happier times!
Great call to use this photo in a black and white format, Jacky. The layout is striking, and it's a great way to document a good time with your dear friend(s). I know you must really miss him. xo
It's a beautiful page Jacky, I like the little 'pop' of red :)
